A consultation on the future of local transport across Lancashire
This consultation has now closed, thank you to everyone who shared their views. We are currently reviewing and carefully analysing all the feedback received. Your input will help us develop an updated Core Strategy, which we plan to share in the coming months.
We’re inviting you to have your say on our draft Local Transport Plan for Lancashire.
A Local Transport Plan sets out how an area intends to improve travel and transport in the future.
The Lancashire Combined County Authority is responsible for producing this plan, which covers the whole county – including Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Lancashire County and all 12 districts.
The draft plan explains:
Once finalised, the Local Transport Plan will guide decisions about all types of travel, including walking, cycling, buses, trains, cars and freight – helping to create a transport network that works for everyone.
We aim to bring wider benefits too – such as better health, improved access to housing and employment, as well as more attractive, welcoming places to live and spend time.
Your feedback will help to guide our priorities and realise these benefits.
